Forming a love for the medical field during his high school career, Mr. Firestine became an Emergency Medical Technician immediately following his graduation in 1992. After an opportunity in sales for a leading silver recovery company in Western North Carolina was offered to him, his entrepreneurial spirit was unleashed as he saw an immediate need in the archival x-ray film industry. He established his company, X-Ray Recycling Solutions, in order to meet the x-ray file destruction needs of hospital radiology departments and non-destructive testing divisions of the Aerospace, Petroleum, and Automotive industries. With Mr. Firestine’s leadership and clients ranging from some of the largest hospital systems in the USA as well as Governmental Agencies such as NASA, X-Ray Recycling Solutions emerged as one of the leading x-ray film archival management companies in the country. He successfully grew his company from grossing 300k dollars year one, to over 6 million dollars by year three. Not only have individual hospitals benefited from the economies of scale his model provides, but some of the largest Document Management companies in the world have utilized the expertise and buying power that his company provided.

To date, his company worked with over 200 hospitals in the US in over 20 states with over 8M lbs of x-rays processed.

With his ability to relate to business owners in various industries, he successfully transitioned his career to become an independent buy-side advisor with multiple Private Equity firms throughout the USA.
